Norway

After the Swedish crew re supplied for the next couple of days, and everybody got a quick bite to eat, we said our goodbyes, "see you all in a couple of days, not sure where!", and we hit the road, heading west towards the Norwegian border.
On our own again, with impending rain, we encountered our first flat tire of the trip. Thankfully we had some fix-a-flat foam shit with us, and after repairing the nozzle (of course) we were back on the road. Destination for the night was Tønsburg with Rabalders MC. A perfectly timed ferry boarding, we met Rabalder on the road and followed them to their clubhouse for some BBQ and beers.

Wolf repairing the bottle so he can repair his tire.

Just in time. Door closing and we've already left the docks.

With Rabalder

Next day down to see the Viking ship...

... but we had to settle for another one being built in the same tradition as the original ones. I guess it was in Oslo for some reason.?!

On top of an old Viking tower, overlooking the entire city.

Out at the end of the earth.

After our great tour with Rabalder, we left for Fredrikstad, again on the ferry, to go meet up with the Chopper Freaks MC.

Following the Chopper Freaks to their clubhouse.

Next day: new rear tire for Wolf. Badly needed oil change and cleaning for my bike, and me.

Visiting old town Fredrikstad, walking along part of the old wall.

Lunch

Viking outpost

With the sun shining the next day, we headed out to the sea. Taking some Norwegian back roads to get there!

Thanks for the shorts Atle!

We enjoyed the water for awhile and then Captain Morton showed up, and took us out for a tour of the islands and coastline.

Taking the open waters on the way back to the bikes

Wolf and Rino

Last night in Norway, bellies full of fresh shrimp, thanks Steve, and catching up on our buzz with Mac and our trusty Captain, Morton.

Next day, or afternoon, Atle and Morton led us to the border. Our next destination was somewhere in Sweden with the remaining crew from the Fückerfest.

Wolf and Atle

Thanks for the great time in Norway everyone! We'll see you all in a couple of days in Opmeer!

Fücker Fest days 3-5

The Fücker Chopper Fest, as it turned out, was only another destination on this week long chopper camp trip. It blew my mind that the day after the party, there were still almost 20 guys that were continuing on, and not heading home.
But we're difinetly guilty of this ourselves: riding for hundreds of miles to a party, partying our asses off, and then riding back the very next day, not enjoying anything on the way home, just so we can all go back to work the next day. Work is for jerks!
And so, this group headed off to Corners house for a night, and got to check out his amazing place. Tomorrow's destination: "further south west than we are right now". Not a bad plan!

Next morning kick off

Notice the slick!!! Mäktigt!

Devils Bride

Andy and Wolf. Tripping out

Lunch time

Alcohol purchase and rain delay. While drying out at a nearby gas station, and realizing our initial destination for the day was not going to happen, a guy pulled up in his van, started talking bikes, and then invited all of us to his house, about 30km away, to camp.
We already had the most important ingredient for the night (beer!), and so it was decided. Head over to dudes place, cook some hot dogs and drink some beer, and go to sleep, or get murdered!

Long dirty driveway

Next day sun

And rain

Karlstad battery change out. Next stop for the Deathtraps: Norway!

Fücker Chopper Fest Day 1-2

One of the many reasons for traveling north, was to meet up with the Jokers and go to the Fückerfest. This year it was about 450km north of Gothenburg, in the woods, next to a lake. The plan was to break up the trip into two days, camping along the way.
We left the south of Sweden with about 25 choppers, and along the way, we picked up more and more bikes. All old, all kick start, all choppers. Not one Dyna! The younger generation in Sweden have paid no attention to the new bike fad of California!
By the end of the first day we were close to 35 choppers, camping by a lake, enjoying some warmish beers, and basking in the Swedish midnight sun.

Peter Longhair

David blew out his wheel bearings on his front rim, and without skipping a beat, loaded up his bike, and hopped onto Wolfs bike.

Fixing Angelo's gas tank.

Looks like he might have planned this out the entire time...

Shawn from Southern California flew in for the party, and got to enjoy Rickard's Panhead for the week.

As with most of the righteous chopper party's we've been to, there is always a good collection of people from all over the place. I think within the first dozen bikes here there were people from England, America, Belgium, Finland, and Sweden.
