I'm sure everyone heard the story, 405 southbound about 10 miles out, 80+mph, riding in the front of the formation, and then BOOM! It was pretty funny after we got stopped and off the freeway. Hard to believe thats actually the second time I've caused a complete deadlock on an LA freeway!

Panhead Frame Molding 101

Bought this frame a couple of years ago. Pretty fucked up when I got it. From the looks of it there was some customizing going on from the 60's with an arc welder and who knows what else.Cut out a bunch of the crap steel that was welded in, and then started dishing in the neck and smoothing out what was left of the gussets. Next step will be some bondo and paint to match, stay tuned!

BLOWN UP CASES PICTURE?

In usual Deathtraps form, we forgot almost everything for the Born Free, including a camera. Wondering if anyone that took a picture of the "show bike" with the mirror under it, could send a picture of the blown up cases over to us.

Thanks to everyone who has sent photos over, if anyone has anymore to share, send them over. We all had a blast, a big thanks to everyone who put on the show and who stopped by the booth to bullshit and buy shirts. Next time we won't forget half our stuff! Ah, who are we kidding, we're better at riding than selling stuff!

SHIRT ORDER IS FINALLY HERE!

Thanks to everyone who ordered shirts after our party for waiting while the shirts got printed. They were put in the mail today! Its almost time to go to the Born Free Show! Hope your shit is ready. Going on a shakedown run in a couple hours up to Tahoe to go meet Brian and the guys from Chicago. Escort them back to Sonora for their final stop before Long Beach!

*Never actually meet up with the Chicago crew. They were battling 60mph winds across Nevada and I had to turn around due to lack of communication and no headlight. Finally saw them in LB.

NEW PAINT!!!

Ran into John Edwards a couple years ago, and he told me that the tank I had was his second paint job, and he was just stoked to see it being run. Fast forward to the DicE party in Oakland 2010. Tank seam split on me on the way there, pouring gas all over me in the middle of the night. Pulled over, no fix in sight. Topped it off at the gas station and ran about 90mph all the way to the party. Unfortunatley, when I barazed up the cracked seam the next week, the paint could not be saved. Since Mr. Edwards paint job could not be duplicated, I went with this. I like it! No longer is it a 70's style show bike paint job. its all business now!
