'67 Shift Knob

My original idea didn't pan out, so I shifted gears (ha) and found some shit in one of the bolt bins. Bent up a lever and welded the knob on and called it good!

Traced out the backing plate

Heating up one end to match the curve of the shifter

Welded

Grinded 

And installed

It's not the size of the shop that counts, it's what comes out of it.

Bozos with giant shops are usually the first ones to go broke. Keep it simple stupid.

Last Saturday we headed down into the valley for Vince's benefit. All sunshine, meant all smiles. Some last minute tuning and we hit the road.

10 Year Party!

Well its official, this is the party! We're returning to the Old Corner in Copperopolis for another bash. Bands, raffle, camping and booze. Bring your bedroll and your chopper. Enjoy a nice ride up to the foothills, party, and then leave with a hangover that would make even a dead guy cringe.

Got a little time in on my '67

Brian hanging up the sissy bar graveyard. Not sure why we kept all of these but some of these are almost 10 years old. 

Downtown Bound

The group that was spread out across all lanes of the 2, eventually got choked down into two lanes as we got closer to downtown. At every red light, the pack would melt down in between the stopped cars, and emerge at the front of the line back in formation. Green light, tires screeching, front wheels lifting, and like children with a pack of matches, we were all smiling as we charged ahead. A good weekend, with great friends, remembering an incredible brother. And I know Matt was laughing as we all barreled past the Chum at full speed before any of us realized where we were!

It eventually became a race between the lights. Everyone slithered their way to the front of the intersection between the cars. The pack couldn't be stopped. 

Rest In Peace Matt. You will be missed.
