With a growing number of Americans not joining the military, and a shrinking portion signing up for combat units, it's nice to see this respect once in awhile.

Bay Area interleague play yesterday. A's win, 4-1

This morning I saw a guy, younger than me, carrying two sea bags walking down the street. As I passed, I could tell he definitely didn't just get out of the service, but looked to me like he was in at one time. I flipped a bitch and asked him if he had served, he said yes, and then I asked him if he needed any help, which he also answered yes to. 

He explained to me he had lost his wife and kids awhile ago to problems you could attribute to his time in the Army. He was pretty torn up about this, and also told me that this wasn't the first time he had been homeless. I asked him if had gotten linked up with the VA, but I guess everyone's experience with VA varies, and he didn't have anything good to say about them. 

I gave him a ride to a campsite near a lake about 20 minutes away, my last $3.00, a therm-a-rest pad and about a gallon of water.

Everyone Survived!

A huge thanks to everyone who rode out for the party this year. Weather was great, no hassles from the police, and a ton of people rode in for an awesome party. Another big thanks to everyone who donated for the raffle, we"ll see you all next year!

Already one bike has gone down (watch out for those fuckers who don't look for motorcycles), and more and more bikes are rolling in early. See you all tomorrow!

Passed his permit test today for the 20th time. Bike is running and legal, and just in time for the party!

Chopper Campout, a couple days left!

Everything looks in order for the upcoming party! The back of the bar/ camping area, is ready for bedrolls and tents, the bar is stocked and will also be serving food. The weather for the weekend is going to be in the low 80's. Perfect!

Side note: for everyone who has been here before, the gas station right next to the bar is closed. The closest gas is just down the side street next to the camping area, down about 1/2 mile. You can see this gas station from the road if you are coming down highway 4.
