Reminiscing About Good Times

Back in 2013, Jonathan, Ronnie, and Beer and Wicky from the Rogues, all rode out to Iowa to visit Tom Fugle and the Sioux City chapter. It was a great ride out, almost a week straight on the road, and got to meet lots of great guys. All stand up human beings.

Mammoth Run

OK, finally just had to jump on the computer at the house to upload some pictures.
Last Friday, in an attempt to escape the heat of the foothills and the routine grind of work, we planned on heading over the pass and get down to Mammoth to meet up with the rest of the pack. Brian and Baby Clint would meet up with us Saturday morning, having been dragged back to work before they could escape with us.

First repair: Wolf broke a belt while trying to pass some cars. Claimed it was due to his horsepower, but Gus and I figured he sabotaged his own belt so he could pull over.

Always there to help

Goldenchain Meet Up

One pack headed south, and two packs (I guess I don't really qualify as a pack when I'm riding by myself, but it sounds better this way) headed north along highway 49. I had a couple readjustment stops along the way, but by the time I came across Gus and Andrew, Gus's battery had taken a shit.
Shortly after we had diagnosed the problem, Josh and Jason blasted past us like they didn't even know us! On a mission from God! A chase insued, and I was able to get them turned around and back to where the dead bike was.
Sun was headed down, so we sent Andrew on a parts run, and he returned with fried chicken and biscuits! And a battery... The shovel would live again!

A concerned Andrew watching Dr. Gus

Finally one pack

While staring at other bikes, Josh noticed Jason might need a custom heat shield for his oil lines. Being stuck on the side of the road in beautiful California, finding trash would not be a problem! Aluminum can, check! Bailing wire, check!

Fast Greasy Trash

Jason and I would head south together while the rest of the guys went north. Josh would eventually head back west towards the ocean.

"It's a loose wire!"
"You got gas?"
"Ummmm, No..."

Crossing the county line as the sun was going down.

Getting Closer...

Spaces are selling quick, but we still have plenty of room for everyone. As much fun as this was last year, hopefully we don't have the mud to do keg pushes on the choppers this time!

We Finally Have New Stuff For Sale!

Awhile ago we decided to have Marc Schönn from Germany give the Fast Greasy Trash a facelift. Turned out fucking killer! We also have two new hat designs, embroidered and sewn patches on the front of these heavy duty mesh hats. And while we're talking about new stuff going on, the Swap Meet is coming up, and spaces are slowly filling up. Reserve your space online, or via email.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING ...

We regret to inform all you guys across our oceans, that international shipping costs have gone up again! We were actually covering some of the last increase, because we're idiots, but it has gone up again. Its now $22.00 USD to ship to Europe and Japan. I think Australia is the same.
We still ship international, but we just needed to give you all the heads up.
Thanks for the support!

Another great shot from Gilles at Wild magazine. Jonathan, Wolf and Baby Clint headed south towards Torino with Frankino.
Franky is currently doing some rad shit at his shop. Check him out: Instagram & BLOG

Biker News Germany

Look who showed up on the cover of Biker News! Must be ugly month over there!
Photo by Ben Da Guru, actually taken in the front driveway of Andreas of the Harley Brothers in Luxembourg.

All shirt orders from this past week will be going out today. This week was the last week that we can get things out to Santa in time!

Gettin Lazy on the Blog Posts!

We're all still here, getting wet actually (finally), and preparing for the winter. Rickard from Sweden and Kevin from Australia are both back in their respective countries. We've got a couple things coming up, including celebrating the Marine Corps 240th birthday, BBQ at the clubhouse on the 14th of November, and a private holiday dinner for all the families of the club. Should be fun!

Here's a couple photos from the past week:

Richy, finally on California soil!

Kevin and Jonathan getting weird

Overlooking what used to be a reservoir. Typical view in California these days. Rivers are more fun anyway. The Dutch are just going to have to get their almonds elsewhere!

Another GCR Update

OK, so we've upgraded our camping situation. We are now, still in Coloma, at River Bend Resort. They can accommodate 70 of us, so there is no need to check in with us prior to meeting up with us. The cost per person is $15 for the night. This gets us BBQ pits, bathrooms, showers (whatever those are), and a safe place to camp and park the bikes for the night. The other nice thing about this place is... its just down the road from the Coloma Club! Live music every weekend until the end of the summer.
And now that we've given you some good news, we need to remind of the bad: the countywide noise curfew is in effect here too. Just show respect, and we'll be good. Hopefully we will all be invited back next year!
We will have a sign out on highway 49 for the turn off for camping. Email us with questions!

Josh got the sign done!

See you on the road!

First Run

The weather was agreeing with us last Friday when we finally got everything back together. T-shirts and sunscreen for our first ride out in mid October. Not bad.
Jason met us at the shop as we got the final things wrapped up, and like us, he needed some more shakedown miles on his stroker shovel.

That's why we call them shakedown miles! Only a loose ground cable, and we were back on the road.

Finished the ride off with some good Mexican food.
