Keeping it sharp

This guy Carl showed up in camp on saturday night. Shipped his bike over from Germany, and is taking a year to ride from Alaska to Argentina! Pretty fucking crazy. Already got 18,000km/11,200miles under his belt, and not quite halfway yet!

We hauled ass down for the Sunday show with the Picturebooks. It was a fucking great time, awesome seeing everyone on this side of the pond, and look forward to next time!

Some of the Deathtraps ran into these guys a couple times during their trip in Europe this last summer. They are currently finishing up a US tour and are playing this sunday in SF. Come out and support these guys! We'll see you there!

Mammoth Run

Almost every year there has been a crew heading over the mountains towards the end of summer to go skate and campout in Mammoth. This year it seemed that almost everyone who could go, did, and it was well worth it! Even Wolf and Jonathan rented adventure bikes so they could ride over with everyone. Honestly, a little goofy looking, but at least they were on two wheels.

Getting buzzed by an Osprey flying maneuvers from the Marine Corps base in Pickle Meadows. Huge thing that looks like it shouldn't fly. And in all actuality, they seem to kill Marines all the time because they don't fly!

Frame Straightening and Polishing

Paughco frames have that bend in the rear section on either side. This one had a little more than stock on the cam side. Looked like a car might have had something to do with it! 

Not a serious disaster though. 30 minutes later, everything got lined out. 

Thinking about keeping the fender tabs so I can make a fork brace for this one. Used the grinder for the majority of the reflector tabs, and will follow up with less aggressive wheels later. 

A Little more polishing before it's done. It's like bondo: sounds like a good idea until your arm feels like it's going to fall off after you've been sanding for the past 2 hours! Speaking of bondo, it's next...

Party party party!!

So after the Trip Out, I got to hang out with Andy and check out England a bit. 

Well it turns out I got to hang out with Andy P and Anna P for their wedding anniversary and pick up the gift. 

Added some 6 overs. A good look!

A norton Deathtrap! 

After a couple of days of hanging out tripping on bikes and slot cars we decided to drive back to Belgium to hang out for a night and drive back to England before I headed back state side. 

We ran into Gille and Tiny and visited Danny at his motorcycle/bonsai sanchuary before heading to Antwerp

Great seeing everyone and visiting once again. Beer, sorry we didn't make it far enough north to see you but I'll be seeing you in a few weeks..  

Only a couple hrs later on our way back to England. Hah. PARTY!!  

Back to the farm to pack and head home. 

Home: Pinecrest lake....Now that I'm home I miss the road, my bike, and all of the new people that we have met on our crazy PARTY tour. It's been one hell of a trip.  See you all soon!
